Orbital Raster Scan: Metrohm Raman's proprietary technique for improved reproducibility and accuracy

With ORS, the laser beam moves across a sample in a circular motion and surveys a large sample area. This provides a unique sampling advantage for heterogeneous materials and results in more reliable data.

ORS achieves an outstanding resolution even for heterogeneous samples. Also, ORS prevents heat buildup in the sample and thus reduces the risk of degradation or ignition.
