QTRam®: Portable Raman System for Content and Blend Uniformity

The QTRam® is a portable transmission Raman spectrometer powered by B&W Tek‘s patented, award-winning STRaman® technology. The Raman scattered light penetrates through solid samples, allowing for rapid and nondestructive quantitative analysis of solid samples. The QTRam is ideal for blend and content uniformity testing of finished products such as tablets and capsules.

The portable form factor of the QTRam makes it easy to use for at-line analysis, in the lab, and to move it from one production line to another. The QTRam can be operated using touch-friendly 21CFR Part 11 compliant software for quantitative analysis on the inbuilt tablet computer.

The award-winning STRam® unites our high-throughput spectrometer with specialized sampling optics to sample a larger area, deeper into a sample. The hardware, coupled with advanced algorithms in a portable Raman system, delivers rapid material identification capabilities through a variety of barrier layers and packaging previously impenetrable with Raman, e.g., white plastic bottles, paper envelopes, and tablet coatings.

Portable Carbon Raman Analyzer

B&W Tek’s Carbon Raman Analyzer (CRA) is a portable Raman system with 532nm laser excitation and a fiber-optic sampling probe. It is ideal for nondestructive analysis of carbon nanomaterials, e.g., graphene, graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes, and carbon nanofibers.

For easy, reproducible measurement, the CRA package includes a probe holder with an adjustable xyz stage and a Class 1 laser enclosure. No microscope is needed for the analysis.
